Hello there. TarelElenar, incurable romantic and obsessed Avatard, bringing the Kataang shippers a refreshing reminder of why we love this pairing so much.

I don't exactly see why a Pro-Kataang essay is really necessary, since all you have to do to find the evidence for it is watch the show. But since it seems a lot of people are clamoring for one and I just finished re-watching all the episodes from start to finish I decided, "What the heck. I might as well."

So without further adieu, I present to the Avatar fandom my Aang/Katara Manifesto: Destiny,Aang and Katara-Epic True Love by *TarelElenar

A Kataang Fanfiction: The Beginning PROLOGUE
I am familiar with Death.

I know of his hands, cold and clammy.

I know of his breath, icy and rattling.

I know of his heart, dead and merciless.

I know that his favorite environment is that of a war-ridden world, one infected with hatred and murder.

However . . . Death can never conquer his mortal enemy, no matter his efforts.

His enemy . . . is love.

Ok, The Avatar spin-off, The Legend of Korra is coming on Nickelodeon Today!!
So I wanted to know what people think/thought of the new spin-off.
Stuff like..
What do you think of the plot so far,
Your take on character design,
quality compared to the original show
and lastly who you think is going to be the new shipping couple.

We're not opposed to having Zutara affiliates, but we also don't send out affiliate requests often. If at all.

And furthermore, how so? I don't understand how Kataang is anything near the relationship between Bella and Edward, to be completely honest.
First of all, Bella is kind of insane and suicidal without Edward. Katara doesn't even really come to her senses until the third season, MAYBE the second, and even then it's a mutual closeness and not a dependency.
And Edward puts restrictions on Bella to make sure she "stays out of trouble" and whatnot: something we can tell Aang would never do. He's too much of a sweetheart to hold Katara back at all. He's proven that on multiple occasions.
Not to mention Katara has that motherly worry, whereas Bella is just paranoid, for someone who's immortal. Just saying.

Its more of the insane protectiveness that I don't like. Like in "The Avatar State" Katara gets attacked, and he goes insane (Edward's overprotective of Bella). Also Aang is kinda clingy and wants to push Katara into loving him, when she's unsure, because he is insecure about his feelings (eg The Ember Island Players). Jacob tries to force Bella to admit her true feeling to him before the fight in Eclipse.

That's like... both into one. XD
Aang's a kid and he doesn't know what's going on, that's what's up with him randomly kissing her in EIP. And true, Aang is protective, but he's the avatar, that's kind of his job.

So it could easily be multiplied by romantic feelings. Although in the future, if it were to bother Katara (which it doesn't seem to), something tells me they'd just have a similar conversation to Sokka and Suki's in The Serpent's Pass and it could be easily resolved.
But, as Katara is a water sign, I see her as the type that would be happy about it and see it as him expressing his concern and care, which is all it really is.
